Eastern Michigan University's winter 2020 semester will be one that we all remember. Our fantastic new officers began our year with an abundance of new ideas, activities, and plans to grow our chapter. As the semester went on our chapter fundraising chair, Allison, put together a flower fundraiser and dine to donate at Tower Inn to occur on the night of the EMU symphony orchestra concert.

Epsilon Lambda also hosted a collaboration concert with other music organizations on campus. This event was a wonderful success that showcased the many talents of the members of our organizations. Our chapter grew closer than ever thanks to the activities planned by Kayla, our Chapter Bonding Chair. Members of Epsilon Lambda had the opportunity to grow their friendships through rock, paper, scissors competitions, bingo night, and more! The addition of 6 new members to the chapter allowed for our organization to extend our resources to more people and help to encourage a shared love of music to even more people.

With the abrupt changes to the end of the semester our chapter took to meeting over video chat. Regular chapter business meetings allowed us to all come together and support one another despite COVID-19. Our chapter even hosted an event through zoom to keep our School of Music and Dance connected in times of uncertainty.

As we prepare for the fall our members are looking forward to hosting Rush week on September 14-18! We hope to see you there!
